Swap your pre-loved books for some new-to-you reads while supporting a wonderful cause in the Myli Libraries Great Book Swap!

Join us at your local branch between August 31 - September 6, during regular opening hours, for our Great Book Swap! Bring along a book (or ten!), browse our swap selection, and trade your pre-loved books for some new-to-you reads. We ask for a gold coin donation** for each swap, with all proceeds going to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF).

At Myli, we’re passionate about literacy, literature and lifelong learning. We believe every child, everywhere deserves to be supported and encouraged to develop a love of books and reading, and to see themselves and their culture reflected in those stories.

We're proud to support the ILF in their mission to provide books and learning resources to children living in remote Communities across Australia. The Great Book Swap is a fantastic way to celebrate reading locally, learn more about Indigenous languages and culture, and raise funds for a great cause. This year the ILF are aiming to raise $250,000 to gift 25,000 new books to remote Communities.

If you are unable to visit us in person you can still show your support by making a donation to our Great Book Swap page and sharing it with your friends, family, colleagues and community!

In the lead up to our Great Book Swap, we encourage you to take a look at our online catalogue and eResources and discover some of the many wonderful First Nations' authors, illustrators, and creators featured in our collections.

** some library locations can only accept digital donations. To find out if cash donations are accepted, please contact your local branch.
