Come and listen to Kylie Wilmot's amazing story about her heart transplant!
In 2024, an unexpected diagnosis of heart failure became a life-threatening medical emergency, resulting in a six-month hospital stay. Kylie returned home with a ventricular assist device (heart pump) to keep her alive while awaiting a heart transplant. In February 2026, she received the life-changing gift of a donor heart, marking the beginning of a new chapter with renewed purpose.
Kylie Wilmot grew up in Cockatoo, Victoria, where she discovered a passion for community and volunteering as a teenager. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) at Monash University before building a nearly 20-year career in local government, specialising in youth work and community development.
